In Enköping Municipality, the Water and Wastewater (VA) department is facing the largest development journey in many years. We are working to bring a new wastewater treatment plant into operation by 2028 at the latest, planning for future drinking water supply, and investing in new VA facilities, modern technology, and smarter ways of working. At the same time, the municipality is growing, and the demands for safety, sustainability, and delivery capacity are becoming increasingly high.

We are now looking for an experienced leader who wants to help shape the next chapter for Enköping's VA operations. A leader with VA experience and strong drive!

The entire VA department consists of approximately 50 employees responsible for the production and distribution of drinking water, wastewater treatment, as well as the operation and development of distribution networks and facilities. You will become an important part of the department's management group and have the opportunity to influence both the operations and the organization's development for a long time to come.

Responsibilities

As Unit Manager, you are responsible for operations, economy, working environment, and employees within the unit. You lead a highly competent group and work closely with other managers to develop a modern, robust, and future-proof VA operation.

This is a role for you who thrives when there is a lot happening. You will lead daily operations while simultaneously driving development, change, and improvements.

You will, among other things:

• lead and develop operations towards set goals
• create conditions for safe and stable operations
• ensure compliance with laws, authority requirements, and permit conditions
• contribute to the implementation of major investment projects and new facilities
• develop organization, working methods, and processes
• drive digitalization and develop the use of technology and system support
• work strategically with competence supply and operational development
• create good collaboration both within and outside the operations.

An important part of the assignment will be to contribute to the development of future VA operations where digitalization, automation, and new working methods play an increasingly significant role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a confident and experienced leader with the ability to create results through others.

You have:

• relevant higher education or other training that the employer deems equivalent
• several years of experience from the VA industry, possessing knowledge of laws and regulations governing VA operations
• experience in leading operations, employees, and change work
• experience with budget and operational responsibility
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Class B driver's license

We consider it particularly meritorious if you have experience with:

• drinking water production, water treatment, or other publicly vital technical operations
• health protection and food legislation
• major investment or facility projects
• digitalization, automation, and operational development
